Step-1: FILL OUT INFORMATION AND CHOOSE A PLAN

An ESA letter must have a statement specifying that you have a mental-health disability and be in need an animal for the treatment. The letter must also confirm your emotional relationship with the animal that supports your mental health and well-being.

1. You are planning to visit places that allow only ESAs
There are some public places, such as restaurants, hotels and shopping malls only allow Emotional Support Animal and not regular pets. In this case, you will need an original ESA letter from your Physician conforming that your pet is indeed an emotional support animal to gain access to the public place.

2. You are travelling Under the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), owners or handlers of Emotional Support Animal are allowed to bring their animal on airplanes while traveling. The ESA letter must be updated within a year. All emotional support animals are expected to be well behaved in public places so to prevent any problems.

3. You are renting a home

Owners have the right to live with their ESA even if the residence or building doesn’t have pet-friendly policies. You are accountable to show an up-to-date letter from a health professional prescribing you an ESA this is an important consideration for the owner or handler to follow. The building managers or landlords are mandated by law to not decline your Emotional Support Animal; this is under the Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHAA).

Stress:

Stress is a normal psychological and

the physical reaction of your body's way

threat. The nervous system is temporarily

affected by the adrenaline which triggers

a surge of a hormone.

Bipolar:

It is caused by a period of elevated mood. Bipolar is also known as manic depression. It is a situation which is associated with episodes of elevated moods ranging from depressive lows to manic highs.

Gender Identity:

Crisis or Gender Identity Disorder (GID) is a result from a significant distress or impairment in which there is a strong, constant feeling of identification with the opposite gender and discomfort with one's own assigned sex.

Panic:

A psychiatric disorder in which there is an overwhelming feeling of anxiety (one affecting a whole group).  Debilitating anxiety and fear arise frequently and without reasonable cause.

Anxiety:
Is characterized by feelings that involve extreme fear or worry, and includes generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder and panic attacks, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, selective autism, separation anxiety, and specific phobias that are strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities.

Phobia:

Is a type of anxiety disorder where there is an overwhelming and unreasonable fear for a certain object or situation that poses little real danger but produce avoidance and anxiety. Phobia is also an irrational fear.

Fear:

It is a perceived danger to people with a panic disorder that occurs in a certain type of organisms’ causes a change in metabolic and organ functions. A change in behavior called panic attacks.

Depression:

Is a common yet serious medical illness that affects how you act and feel, and the way you think. Sadness is one of the reasons that causes Depression and will result in impairment in daily life.

Addiction:

Addiction is a condition that results when a person ingests a substance (e.g., alcohol, cocaine, nicotine) or engages in an activity (e.g., gambling, sex, and shopping). It is also considered as a brain disorder characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli, despite adverse consequences. 

Learning Disorder:

It interferes with learning basic skills such as reading, writing and/or math and with top matched skills such as organization, abstract reasoning, time planning, attention and long or short-term memory.

Sexual Disorder:

The sexual disorder also called as the Sexual malfunction is the complication experienced by a couple or an individual during any phase of a normal sexual activity, including desire, preference, orgasm, physical pleasure, or arousal. 

Schizophrenia:

Is a chronic and severe mental disorder that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. A condition which is characterized by abnormal social behavior and failure to understand what is real.

Post-traumatic Stress Disorder:

A mental health situation that brings about seeing a terrifying event. It is also a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced the horrible, alarming, or dangerous event. 

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder :

Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a chronic condition that affects millions of children which a person has trouble paying attention and focusing on tasks, tends to act without thinking, and has trouble sitting still and often continues into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior.

Substance-related Disorder  :

Substance-related Disorders (alcohol and/or drugs, among others) are disorders of dependence, abuse, intoxication, and substance withdrawal caused by different substances, both legal and illegal. These substances include amphetamines , caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, inhalants, prescription medications that may be abused opioids (morphine, heroin), (such as sedatives),  marijuana (cannabis), hallucinogens, phencyclidine (PCP) and cocaine.

Motor Skills Disorder  :

Motor Skill Disorder with a common name Dyspraxia is a brain-based condition that makes it hard to plan and coordinate physical movement that can affect social skills too.
