WYOMING SERVICE DOG LAWS

DEFINITIONS:
“Assistance or Service animal” means an animal that works, provides assistance or performs tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability, or provides emotional support that alleviates one or more identified symptoms or effects of a person's disability.
ACCOMMODATION LAW
Totally or partially blind, deaf, hearing impaired person or other person with a disability who is a passenger on any common carrier such as airplane, motor vehicle, railroad train, motor bus, boat or any other public conveyance operating within the state may have with him a service dog.
A penalty not exceeding $750,000 will be fine to any person violating this section. S. 1977 § 35-13-204

HARASSMENT OF INTERFERENCE WITH SERVICE DOGS
Any person who intentionally permits or directs any animal under his control or ownership to inflict, serious bodily harm, permanent disability or death upon any service animal is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by an imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, a fine of not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), or both.
Restitution includes:

Medical bills
-
Retraining an injured service or assistance animal or the cost of replacing the service animal; and
-
As a result of the offense a reasonably other expense is incurred.
DRIVING LAW
The vehicle driver approaching a totally or partially blind, deaf or hearing impaired pedestrian accompanied by a guide dog shall take all necessary precautions to avoid injury to the pedestrian.
Any injury caused the pedestrian by any driver is liable with take these precautions. S. 1977 § 35-13-202
